Kim Kardashian has revealed that she was put on birth control by her mother, at the age of 14-years-old. During a candid interview with Oprah Winfrey on Sunday (June 17, 2012), Kardashian revealed that was also the age at which she lost her virginity.

The Hollywood reality star told the former Queen of daytime television that she had been seeing a boy for around two years before telling mother Kris Jenner that she wanted to take things to the next level, adding, “When I did want to have sex the first time I was almost 15.I was like, ‘I think I’m going to, or I want to,’ and she was like, ‘OK, so this is what we’re gonna do, we’re gonna put you on birth control,’ and she was like, really open and honest with me” The conversation naturally moved on to Kim’s current boyfriend Kanye West, who’s nearly five years older than her. Though she explained, “I always dated five years younger. My whole thing was completely different. And now I just… I love that I’m with someone that’s a couple of years older than me”.

Later in the interview, Kim conceded that her infamous sex-tape allowed her to reach a level of fame that she otherwise wouldn’t have experienced. However, the star claimed the video – filmed with her then-boyfriend Ray J – has only made her work harder to show fans her true identity.
