Nadya Suleman, aka ‘Octomom’, received a visit from Orange County authorities on Tuesday (April 24, 2012) as part of an investigation into the living conditions at her home. KTLA-TV Channel 5 reported that officers from the La Habra Police Department were accompanied by social workers after receiving a complaint that there was only one functioning toilet in the home – between 14 kids.

The complaint – initially reported by TMZ.com – also alleged that the children appeared unclean. Social workers spent around half an hour at the home, before determining that the children weren’t in any danger, though officials said their inquiry will continue. La Habra Police Sgt Daniel Barnes said that a complaint of “general neglect” in regard to the living conditions at Suleman’s home was filed around 4pm on Tuesday by a person who cannot be identified. He said officials undertook “preliminary” interviews at the residence but that “no crimes were noticed”. Barnes added that, as a result, no criminal investigation was underway but that there could be further examination from social workers.

A report last month by TMZ.com claimed Octomom was forced to pose for a nude spread in the UK magazine ‘Closer’ because she was desperate to pay the rent money. Suleman was facing foreclosure on the home so agreed to pose for a fee of $10,000.
