Rumoured to be announced this week, the PlayStation 3 title is a mascot-filled brawler similar to Nintendo’s Super Smash Bros. Melee.

While few details have been revealed, it will be designed to be accessible for all PlayStation fans, but deep enough for more experienced fighting fans.
“First and foremost, PlayStation All Stars Battle Royale is a celebration of a storied history of great characters and rich worlds brought together in one game,” said SuperBot Entertainment’s game director Omar Kendall.
“And for us, there’s no better way to celebrate than by creating an experience that players can sit around one screen and enjoy together.”
It will offer single and multiplayer modes, including support for up to four players locally, as well as a number of online tournament options.
More features, characters and levels will be shown at the E3 gaming expo this June.
